Commission A Portrait - Specialist in bespoke portrait commissions.

On this page in ‘plain English’ is a guide to my terms and conditions.

All contact details including telephone numbers, addresses and email addresses of clients are completely confidential along with any photographs which have been mailed or emailed to me. If you decide not to go ahead with a commission, your details, emails, telephone number etc that I have on file will be destroyed. All photographs mailed to me will be returned to you in the condition there were received. A portrait is considered commissioned once I have received the photo reference and an initial deposit of 50% by the client. The remaining 50% is paid on completion of the commission. A simple contract will be drawn up between us.

If the portrait were to be lost or damaged in transit then a full refund will be given, or a replacement offered. If you receive your portrait and are not completely satisfied you can return it, for a full refund within 30 days, excluding the cost of the return postage.

If you or any sitter cancels the commissioned portrait before it is completed, you will be required to pay such sum (taking into account payments already made) and taking into account how much of the portrait is completed at the date of cancellation and any expenses incurred by me in connection with the commissioned work. The unfinished portrait will belong to me.

I retain full image rights on the portraits I produce.

I may display finished portraits on the website for the purposes of promotion. If you don’t want your portrait to appear on my site just let me know.

The contract for the commissioned work shall be governed by English Law.
